Hudson Explores Community-Wide Fiber-Optic Internet

UPDATE: On May 22, 2018, Hudson City Council postponed a vote on the community-wide fiber initiative until Fall 2018 to provide time to establish a committee and continue their review.

The City of Hudson is exploring the viability of a City-owned and operated community-wide fiber-optic internet network that would provide all Hudson residents with access to affordable high-speed internet.

As part of this effort, a Phase I Analysis was completed to determine the viability of providing the service in Hudson. Phase II market research was also conducted to determine the demand for Gigabit high-speed fiber by residents.

Hudson City Council currently is discussing placing an issue on the November 2018 ballot.
